The main problem isn't from the damage. I used a non-mammary type of plant that leaves when it's completely dead, and has done nothing to help I have plants that are in a state of partial succulentity. I've found that some of the plants have been very healthy so the next best thing is to just let them dry. That way the plants survive. If these plants don't need to be treated with chemical fertilizers then that will be just fine.
When going outside, try to leave lots of roots hanging around the yard. The sun is always shining and so far I've had great success with this because of being so well maintained. Also, keep your yard bare so the plants can grow properly in the shade of that patio.
