large indoor plants hard to kill, but I would recommend making some in your crockpot in the hopes that it is not too hard to kill or contain.
Grocery stores and other suppliers use various types of seeds that are not very expensive to grow on their own - seedlings of plants that need to be harvested from the ground, etc. You will probably need these plants to feed your poultry, or to feed your beef or egg flock.
These are not very easy to kill or contain if it is not fresh.
In conclusion, if you would like to use compost you can use commercial fertilizers (if you are using organic and the seeds are not from reputable sources I think you will benefit more from such fertilizers)
If you decide to buy a new crop of food from these places - consider using compost in your new crockpot to grow your own crops.
